In the L’Escala campsite, you'll be able to set off to explore the towns in the region. One town that is certainly worth a detour is Sant Père Pescador. Here, water is everywhere: built beside a river, it incorporates 6km of fine sand beaches. And if you happen to be here in May, then you'll be able to come and see the windsurfing world championships!
Another place to visit on the Costa Brava is Torroella de Montgri. Come and see this delightful little town with its mediaeval past. The whole family will love activities like strolling through its historic centre, looking around the church of Saint Genis, as well as paying a visit to its castle.
Go along the coast and give yourself a nice surprise when you see fabulous Barcelona! And if you feel like visiting the inland region, make sure you stop off in rebellious Gerona, the main town of northern Catalonia.
